Why everyone keeps coming back.

Located conveniently at 6031 US-30 in Greensburg, PA, Sonic Drive-In is a beloved fast food restaurant that masterfully blends the joy of classic American cuisine with a fun, nostalgic dining experience. Known for its diverse menu that spans from savory breakfast burritos to juicy hamburgers, crispy chicken offerings, and indulgent ice cream treats, Sonic offers something to satisfy every craving.

Their breakfast burritos are a standout, featuring fluffy scrambled eggs, melty cheddar cheese, and your choice of crispy bacon, savory sausage, or delicious ham, all wrapped in a warm flour tortilla. For a bolder kick, the SuperSONIC® Breakfast Burrito layers in golden tots, diced onions, ripe tomatoes, and spicy jalapeños, resulting in a burst of textures and flavors that is both comforting and exciting. If you’re in the mood for meat and cheese lovers’ paradise, the Ultimate Meat & Cheese Breakfast Burrito™ does not disappoint, filling your morning with hearty satisfaction.

Moving on to their iconic hot dog selections, Sonic's AllAmerican Dog is a classic done right — a 100% pure beef hot dog grilled to perfection, topped with ketchup, yellow mustard, relish, and chopped onions, served in a soft bakery bun that adds the perfect touch of softness to every bite. The New York Dog adds a sophisticated twist with spicy brown mustard, grilled onions, and crunchy sauerkraut, delivering a delightful tang and snap that echoes the city it’s named for. Their Chili Cheese Coney, rich, cheesy, and savory, is another customer favorite that hits all the comfort food notes.

For families, Sonic offers kid-friendly meals that don’t skimp on flavor or fun. From the Jr. Burger, featuring a juicy pure beef patty with crinkle-cut pickles, to the classic corndog with its crisp, golden corn batter, these meals promise smiles and satisfied appetites. And for those who prefer something simple and nostalgic, the grilled cheese sandwich—with thick Texas Toast and gooey melted American cheese—is a cozy classic worth savoring.

The dining atmosphere at Sonic Drive-In is uniquely charming. Whether you’re ordering from the drive-thru or enjoying the classic “carhop” experience, the service here feels warm and friendly. Customers often praise the attentiveness of the staff, describing interactions as quick, helpful, and genuinely pleasant. This genuine care adds a layer of comfort to the meal, making it feel like more than just fast food—it’s a casual, welcoming outing that can brighten your day.

Sonic is also known for its delicious milkshakes and mozzarella sticks, which many patrons eagerly return for. Creamy, rich shakes offer a refreshing indulgence, while the perfectly crispy, golden mozzarella sticks provide a sensational combination of textures and flavors. One friendly tip: while some flavor options like onion rings might occasionally be missing, the wide variety of other treats ensures there’s always something to delight every palate.

I moved from Louisiana to Johnstown and was awfully disappointed to find out that there's no Sonic near me. I was in Greensburg for some training and decided to drop in for lunch. The food was terrific and the girl that brought us our food was quick, friendly, and helpful.

Chloe was fantastic. She may have been one of two people working. Even though the burger was something to be desired it was good. It's been 2 years since I've been to Sonic; the last time was in Summerville or North Charleston, SC and I forgot how yummy the mozzarella sticks are. Sadly, the only disappointment was no onion rings. I brought my mother, and she loved the popcorn chicken and fries.

Just came through the drive thru today, saw they were busy so I patiently waited. Then I saw a customer who already ordered leave, and someone behind left as well. So I go to pull up to get my drink & I had to tell the woman who served me what happened, they were confused but resolved it so quickly. They gave me my drink for FREE, I was so grateful for the girl that I had to give her a tip. Whoever that woman & the crew was inside, thank you for the free drink!

First time here. My husband wanted to try the new American smash burger. Current one that’s being advertised. Girl on speaker seemed confused at first. He loved it. I got the hotdog combo. Asked for ketchup and onion. Slip said ketchup and onion. I got ketchup and mustard. Good thing I like mustard I guess. Hotdog was good. Bun seemed almost soggy. Fries were okay, I think a little old and hard. All in all, for $14 it wasn’t bad. He was satisfied!

Would have been 5 stars but the employee handing out food was miseable. Otherwise my double smash burger was delicious, warm, and promptly made. Would definitely recommend!
